Lakshma Gajula Pooja (Friday)
Lakshma Gajula Pooja is a traditional Hindu ritual performed mainly by married women on Fridays to seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. During the pooja, devotees offer glass bangles (gajulu), turmeric, kumkum, flowers, fruits, and sweets to the Goddess. They pray for prosperity, good health, family happiness, and the long life of their husbands. Fridays are considered especially auspicious for worshipping Goddess Lakshmi, as she is believed to bless her devotees with wealth, peace, and abundance. After the pooja, women often distribute bangles, turmeric, kumkum, and prasadam to other married women as a symbol of goodwill and divine blessings.
